Where does your salmó come from?
Our salmó is a fjord trout imported all the way from Norway.

Is your salmó really safe for consumption?
Yes, it is. Like you, we too want our loved ones to enjoy the taste and health benefits of salmó without fear. salmó’s fjord trout are raised in the cold, clear waters of Norway with a dedicated team of vets to look after their health. Their farms are strictly regulated, and they’re left to grow naturally without any medication, antibiotics or growth-promoting feed.

Each year, around 14,000 export-ready fjord trout undergo a stringent inspection by the Independent National Institute for Nutrition and Seafood (NIFES). Each year, none of these inspections have ever found any residues of prohibited medication or illegal foreign substances.

How is your salmó handled?
Once our salmó reaches Malaysia, they’re immediately cleaned, scaled, gutted, and cut, then vacuum-packed on the same day to ensure hygiene and cleanliness. They’re then dispatched in insulated bags to keep them cool, so salmó remains in ocean-fresh condition.

How can I be sure of the quality of your salmó?
All our salmó has a freshness “passport”. Every salmó comes with a report card on the history of the fish, enabling suppliers to handle any case swiftly and effectively if an issue arises

What is the weight of a slice of salmó?
A salmó weighs between 120g - 150g/slice. 

What should I do upon receiving my salmó?
If you’re planning to cook it on the same day, just keep it in the refrigerator. Otherwise, our packaging is freezer-friendly – so all you have to do is put it into the freezer as it is!

What is the best way to retain the freshness of my salmó?
For fresh salmó:
Up to 2 days in the chiller or refrigerator / 2 months in the freezer.

For salmó sashimi:
Best consumed within 1 hour after delivery. Otherwise, store it immediately in the chiller or refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

For frozen salmó slices / head / bone:
About 2 months in the freezer.

What is the best way to cook my salmó?
For fresh salmó:
Pan-fry till medium rare.

For frozen salmó:
Pan-fried, oven-baked or fully cooked.

How far do you deliver your salmó?
We currently deliver to KL, Selangor, Penang and Johor Bahru.

How long would it take for my salmó to reach me upon order confirmation?
If you’re in KL / PJ:
It usually arrives the next day, anytime between 3pm - 6pm.
For same day delivery, give us a call @ 010-211 9019.

If you’re in Penang / JB:
It’ll take up to 2 - 3 days, and delivered between Tuesday - Friday.

Is there a delivery cost for sending my salmó to me?
Yes. It costs RM15 for a delivery trip, up to 15 items. Only valid for 1 time delivery only.

What if my salmó is not fresh upon delivery?
We take utmost care to ensure that your salmó arrives to you at an optimum temperature by adding ice pack to the specially designed cooler bag. Hence, we are confident that your salmó will arrive fresh. However, in the rare case of such an unfortunate event, please contact us via email ( hola@artofsalmo.com ) or whatsapp ( 010-211 9019 ) within 24 hours of receiving your order and we will dispatch a new salmó delivery to you.

What if I’m not around at the time of delivery?
As per our service agreement, we will leave your salmó at your delivery address. You can leave a special instruction when placing your orders, so that we know where to leave your salmó.

Please note that we will try to get in touch/call you up to three times. If we’re unable to reach you for whatever reasons, we will leave your salmó delivery at your doorstep, or at the guard house of your apartment/condominium.

Orders will be delivered only ONCE. If you request to return, reschedule or relocate your salmó order upon arrival of delivery, you will be responsible for any delivery cost incurred after.

When will I receive my salmó?
we deliver from Tuesday to Saturday | 2pm - 6pm.
